What we get you

The extras nobody else knows to ask for

Every item here has been negotiated for a real group. You pick the ones that matter, and Miss Renee asks for them by name.

Money

Things that come straight off what your group pays.

Complimentary rooms

One free room for every 40 or 50 booked is common. Use it for a speaker or your own staff.

Waived resort fees

Resort fees can add $25 to $50 per room per night. They are negotiable for groups.

Free parking

Often $20 to $40 a night per car, waived for a block.

Discounted or complimentary meeting space

Rental is usually traded away once your room block and food spend are on the table.

Discounted AV

In house AV is one of the most marked up lines on a contract.

Staff rates

A lower rate for your team traveling in early or staying late.

A later cutoff date

The cutoff is when unbooked rooms go back to the hotel. Later means fewer stragglers cost you.

A lower attrition percentage

Attrition is what you owe for rooms your group does not fill. Lower is safer.

A rebooking clause instead of a cancellation penalty

If plans change, your money moves to a future date instead of disappearing.

Price protection if rates drop

If the hotel later publishes a lower rate, your group gets it.

Comfort

Small things your attendees notice immediately.

Suite upgrades for speakers and leaders

Usually free when a block is big enough. Nobody thinks to ask.

Early check in and late checkout

Protects travel days on both ends.

Free WiFi

In guest rooms and in meeting space, which are billed separately.

Turndown service

A small nightly touch that makes a retreat feel like a gift.

Welcome amenities

In room treats for VIPs or the whole block.

Adjoining rooms

Essential for families and student groups with chaperones.

A quiet floor

Your group placed together and away from the elevator bank.

Experience

The reasons people remember the trip.

Discounted golf, spa, or activities

Resorts trade activity discounts happily for group business.

A private dining experience

A chef's table or private room instead of a banquet line.

A shuttle to the venue or airport

Saves your attendees rental cars and parking.

A hospitality suite

A place for your team to gather off the clock.

A welcome reception

Often comped or discounted when food and beverage spend is committed.

A local experience the group will remember

Wine tasting, lake cruise, a guided hike. Miss Renee asks.
